The Nordic bath and the Jacuzzi both offer a relaxing experience in warm water, but differ in their design, operation and philosophy. The Jacuzzi relies on modern technology with massaging jets, while the Nordic bath favors a natural, rustic approach.
Advantages of a stay in a mobile home with Nordic bath
If you love rustic luxury, then the Scandinavian spa is for you! Natural and soothing, this “Nordic” version of the jacuzzi is heated by wood fire without electricity, for deep, silent , eco-friendly relaxation. Many campsites in Morbihan offer rentals with a private Jacuzzi, but very few offer a Nordic bath. A rarer and more confidential experience, to be discovered exclusively at the Aleth campsite, near the legendary Brocéliande forest.

This ritual from the North offers deep relaxation thanks to water heated to around 37-40°C, ideal for releasing muscular tension after a day’s sport or hiking. No noise from pumps or jets: the silence allows you to connect with nature directly from the terrace of your mobile home, for either refreshment or relaxing warmth.

Set in a clearing, this 25 m² Premium cottage with Nordic bath emphasizes indoor/outdoor living. The main room opens onto nature thanks to two angled bay windows. This rental accommodation with Jacuzzi includes a functional dining area, two bedrooms, a shower room and separate WC. The terrace extends the living space, allowing you to take full advantage of the natural surroundings.
Super Premium Cottage – Sleeps 6
This chalet with private Jacuzzi offers spacious accommodation with your comfort in mind. Measuring 35 m², it features three bedrooms, a bright living room with separate dining and relaxation areas, and a large bay window opening onto a multi-level covered terrace with a Nordic bath under a pergola. The bathroom features an XL shower and double washbasin, with separate toilet.
Cottage PMR Super Premium
Designed to guarantee accessibility for people with reduced mobility, this 35 m², 4-person Super Premium cottage combines comfort, space and adapted amenities. The spacious, bright living room includes a fully equipped kitchen and opens onto a large terrace with ramp access. This mobile home with private spa includes a master suite with 160×200 bed and XL shower, a second bedroom with two 80×200 beds, and a bathroom to PMR standards.
How does a Nordic bath work?
Unlike a Jacuzzi, a Nordic bath is powered by a wood-burning stove that heats the water naturally and ecologically, without electricity or motorized jets, for an authentic outdoor relaxation experience. The water reaches 37-40°C in 1h30 to 3h, depending on bath size and ambient temperature.
- Preparation : dry wood ensures efficient, rapid combustion without excessive smoke.
- Lighting and heating: light the fire with a firelighter and chopped firewood in the outside stove, opening the air inlets for a good draught. Heat spreads by conduction and thermosiphon: hot water rises naturally and circulates via a coil, while cold water descends to create a homogeneous mixture. Wood is added until the desired temperature is reached, as measured by a thermometer.
- How to use : once the water is heated, close the air vents and enjoy your Nordic bath for 2 to 4 hours. You can stir the water with a paddle every 30 min for even heating.
For your first baths, we offer you a cart generously filled with wood, plus two firelighters and a pack of matches. Need a refill? For just €5, we’ll refill your cart. And for added convenience, quality firelighters are available at reception to ensure a carefree experience.
Practical info
- Arrival : from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm / Departure: before 10:00 am.
- Minimum stay : 2 nights (except during summer)
- July-August: weekly rentals, arrival on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday.
- Bed linen and towels are provided.
- Catering: you can enjoy meals on site by reserving gourmet jars, prepared by the caterer La Cuisine de Mon Père. You can also order breakfast.
